Within the context of the social, emotional, spiritual and physical wellbeing of our students, we provide a professional and confidential counselling service to Galilee students, where students can be referred by parents, carers or teachers.
The Counselling Service seeks to enhance social, emotional and developmental wellbeing of our students. We aim to encourage educational and emotional engagement in order to assist with fulfilling student potential.
School counsellors must work within their areas of expertise and refer out for cases where more specialised services are required.
Common concerns or areas for discussion can include: anxiety, depression, anger, peer relations, academic concerns, health concerns, emotional regulation and expression and bullying.
While our school counsellor does not offer family counselling and therapies in areas of trauma and abuse, students can be referred out for such cases. All students must have written consent before seeing the School Counsellor.
