LOTE - Italian

At Galilee, we believe that the learning of a language other than English (LOTE) is an important skill for our young learners to be immersed in.

The LOTE Program at Galilee (currently Italian) aims to develop knowledge, understanding and skills that allows students to communicate in different settings; school, leisure and work whilst understanding the Italian culture.

We also promote and support an awareness of the diverse multilingual and multicultural nature of our school and our Australian society.

Students from Prep to Year Six have one hour weekly lessons. They also are provided opportunities for Italian Day and LOTE incursions.
